The Apple Human Interface Design team conceptualizes and designs the user experience for Apple products and services. Your ideas can impact the interaction, graphic, sound, and haptic experiences used by millions of people around the world. Apple’s Human Interface Design team is seeking an experienced and passionate engineer to build apps that our designers need for prototyping new hardware, software, and services features.

Description

In this role, you will collaborate with engineers, designers, and producers to conceive of and implement features in design apps and related frameworks. You will leverage experience with drawing and animation APIs to organize and render content with compositing options, as well as enable generation of content in various formats. You will work with teams across the company to ensure the end-to-end delivery of content produced by design apps with results appearing as intended. Collaborating effectively with designers, as well as a solid understanding of good UI design, are key for this role.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years in Swift or Objective-C

• 5 years in SwiftUI, AppKit, or UIKit

• Proficiency in API design principles and software architecture

• Proficiency in concurrent programming

• Proficiency in debugging and performance-tuning techniques

• Proven experience working on medium or large-scale projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Core Graphics

• Experience with Core Animation

• Experience with SVG, PSD, USD, or similar graphics formats

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
