DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer join our team specializing in manufacturing for our Cummins’ business in Seymour, IN.

Collaborate on Projects: Working with internal and external resources, you'll bring diverse perspectives and expertise to specific project assignments, driving innovation and success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Strong Collaboration Skills: Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives will be crucial. This involves effective teamwork and leveraging diverse perspectives to achieve common goals.

Effective Communication: Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. This ensures that everyone is on the same page and can contribute effectively.

Proactive Health and Safety Practices: Championing and modeling proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting, and participating in actions to improve health and safety. This helps build an interdependent culture and contributes to an injury-free workplace.

Technical Proficiency: Integrating product design and manufacturing equipment engineering drawings to support the design and development of optimal manufacturing processes. This ensures that product design specifications are met and processes are efficient and effective.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

  • College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.

  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and models.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment. 

Additional Details:

  • Provide processes and tools for manufacturing.

  • Lead or support continuous improvement activities.

  • Problem solve manufacturing/process issues.

  • Support HSE, quality, and operations projects.

Preferred Skills:

PLC / ladder logic AB and HMI's, CREO/Mechanical Desktop/Solid Works, and tool and fixture design experience

Compensation

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
