The Planning and Portfolio Management Team provides planning and stewardship of a large portfolio of projects across the Retail organization. We work closely with project managers, leadership and other parts of Apple to craft a strategic, synchronized plan that helps the Retail Organization realize it’s goals. Description

We are looking for someone who has demonstrated excellence in planning and portfolio management. The ideal person will be able to effectively lead a team of planning professionals and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders. You are strategically minded, an excellent communicator, and analytical. This role will be responsible for:
Inspiring, leading, and developing a team of planning professionals
Leading the team in optimizing our project portfolio for alignment with strategic goals
Building efficient processes that support the management of the portfolio
Balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders
Driving quantitative insights into the health of the portfolio

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years managing large, dynamic project portfolios

  • 5+ years leading a portfolio management, planning or PMO team

  • Experience working with Engineering and technology teams

  • Strong understanding of data analysis, forecasting and reporting methodologies

  • Proven ability to take initiative, foster trust and build strong, productive relationships, with cross-functional teams and partners

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working effectively in a highly-matrixed organization across timezones

  • Preferred project management professional (PMP) or portfolio management professional (PfMP) certification

  • BA/BS in Business Administration or related field or relevant professional experience

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $146,800 and $269,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
