The Video Apps team is looking for a Software Developer in Test with a background in video/photo editing to contribute to the development of innovative tools for creative professionals, video makers, and visual storytellers. It requires a highly proactive individual with strong creative, technical and analytic skills and passion for new technologies related to computer vision/on device machine learning.

Description

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, designing, writing, maintaining and executing end-end test cases manually and through automation using Swift and Python. You will drive all aspects of quality and process improvements to help the team ensure that our features are rock-solid and ready to be released to our customers. Report bugs with outstanding isolation and regression techniques will be the key to your success. This role requires balancing a wide variety of deliverables that will rely on your talent for managing priorities and communicating progress and risks effectively and systematically. Your ongoing curiosity and dedication to self-education in video/photo technologies as well as new testing techniques is what will set you apart. You will be working closely with other team members to help coordinate multi-functional test e?orts.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in QA/QE

• Minimum of 1+ years experience as a Software Engineer in Test

• Programming in Python and/or Swift to prototype features, create test apps, and test with internal tools

• Proficiency in testing mobile/desktop apps, and backend/APIs

• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, SQA testing methodologies, terminology and processes such as planning, requirements analysis, testing and deployment

• Proven bug detection, isolation, and regression skills

• Able to extract user scenarios from software feature descriptions and requirements, translating them into effective test plans and cases

• Strong familiarity with iOS and macOS

• BS in Computer Science, or related field, or 5+ years of equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in digital photography and video, with proficiency in editing tools for both media

• Meticulous, analytical, methodical and creative problem solver committed to driving quality forward

• Thrives in a collaborative organization, that's fast-paced and dynamic, and can clearly communicate technical problems to software teams and management

• Proficient at balancing multiple efforts simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
