Description
As a Technical Program Manager, you will spearhead multi-functional initiatives that incorporate new infrastructure, hardware, and operational capabilities into live data center environments. Using both program management expertise and technical skill, you will ensure that programs are delivered on time, within scope, and with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
You will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and vendor partners to oversee the entire program lifecycle, from planning and validation through deployment and closeout, while upholding safety, compliance, and operational readiness standards.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate all facets of technical program execution, encompassing scheduling, resource allocation, validation, and assessment activities.
Act as the main point of contact between internal teams, external vendors, and partners, ensuring seamless communication and efficient integration of new hardware and systems.
Oversee hardware installation, decommissioning, and maintenance, consistently applying standard processes and compliance regulations.
Implement advanced hardware and infrastructure testing strategies to direct evaluation and troubleshooting efforts, improving efficiency and reliability.
Track program progress, achievements, and deadlines to proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring successful objective achievement.
Maintain clear, comprehensive program documentation, including reports, processes, and workflow records.
Partner with the training manager to develop data center new hardware training programs and establish knowledge-sharing networks.
Support procurement activities related to hardware and software acquisition.
Continuously analyze program data, identify inefficiencies, and propose innovative solutions for workflow enhancements.
Articulate vision and goals effectively, building trust with teams and championing continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent job-related experience.
3+ years of experience leading projects or programs and operations in technology-driven environments.
Experienced in IT hardware, with a solid background in installation, maintenance, and decommissioning procedures
Proficiency using Mac OS, iOS, and common desktop applications like Slack, Radar, Keynote, and Wrike or other
Preferred Qualifications
Outstanding communicator, adept at presenting solutions and insights to diverse audiences.
Proven history in operationalizing new infrastructure, risk mitigation, and validating advanced hardware prior to deployment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and program management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in presenting solutions and encouraging collaborative relationships.
Demonstrated ability to resolve highly variable and complex operational issues creatively.
Experience with data center IT hardware installation, decommissioning, and maintenance.
Skilled in leading teams, mentoring staff, and cultivating a collaborative, innovative work environment.
Demonstrable ability to forge relationships with partners from varied technical and operational backgrounds.
