Here on the Apple Store Online team, we are responsible for Apple’s largest store. Our main goal is to deliver a magical, personal digital experience where customers can shop, buy and learn everything Apple, wherever they are. Each customer should feel like they are our only customer and our job is to set the bar for the experience they receive. To run such an extraordinary store, it takes extraordinary people, and we are looking for someone to help us do extraordinary things.

As a Capacity Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring that Apple Retail has the right resources and headcount to successfully execute its strategic projects and initiatives.

Description

This role will be responsible for forecasting resource needs, analyzing capacity constraints, and developing comprehensive plans to optimize our workforce utilization. Using a blend of analytical rigor, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, the Capacity Planner will collaborate closely with project managers, functional leads, and portfolio management partners to drive efficient and effective project delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience in program management or resource planning, including 3 years of experience in capacity planning

  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Numbers, Tableau), including formulas creation, v-lookups, and pivot tables

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate complex data sets into actionable business insights

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and negotiate with and influence stakeholders at all levels

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management or a related field is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in e-commerce, digital technology or with Product/Engineering teams is a plus

  • Knowledge of capacity planning software (e.g., Meisterplan, Smartsheet, Monday, Clarity)

  • Advanced skills in data analysis and scripting capabilities
