Full Stack Developer Whippany, NJ

As Barclays Full Stack Java Developer, you will be part of a scrum team that works on a two-week sprint cycle delivering stories for our customer and account management. You will lead technical design for the domain, working closely with developers across engineering teams. You will produce a high volume of quality code, and to serve as the primary custodian of the domain.

What will you be doing?

• You will be part of a team of seasoned engineers, technical leads and technology product owners • Providing technical leadership on various strategic technologies focusing on modernizing manage my relation tech stack • You will be responsible for code delivery in a timely and accurate fashion and the overall review and guidance of sprint and epic goals • Producing a high volume of quality code and to serve as the primary custodian of the code branch and merge process • You will be maintaining code and all related artifacts in source control • Improving our design system and making other cross cutting architecture improvements to our overall architecture

What we’re looking for:

• Five years + working experience of front end (React/Angular) technologies • Five years + of experience developing medium to large Java applications • Two years + of experience in streaming data applications; Kafka • Two years + of experience working with Git and in a CI/CD environment

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Excellent communication skills • Self-motivated, passionate, well organized individual with demonstrated problem solving skills Experience in building distributed Machine Learning systems • Familiarity with cloud technologies: OpenShift, AWS • Familiarity with build tools: Maven, Gradle
