Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Perform daily regression verification of software in pre-silicon systems. Identify and resolve issues promptly that may block further development of a product or technology. Gather and collect relevant information from engineers or teams from different disciplines (e.g. hardware, software, simulation) to rectify deeply technical issues. Understand and interpret vast knowledge from different technical areas into common solutions. Validate stability and quality software, and deliver it to a prototype or near-complete hardware. Identify breaking points of a given regression and identify potential changes. Unblock continued development on a specific hardware target. Identify, integrate, build, and test specific software changes to support tasks during a hardware product’s lifecycle. Work and resolve issues with an extensive infrastructure to ensure quality and timely builds are delivered. Support and debug issues specific to the factory. Work with cross-functional and internationally located teams to drive quality fixes into specific products during production in a given factory. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $226,158 - $264,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
Utilizing C and C++ to debug, workaround, and fix system-level issues.
Utilizing Python for developing automation scripts and frameworks.
Utilizing LLDB for verifying low-level firmware operations while debugging issues.
Leveraging tools for performing PreSilicon and FPGA validation.
Investigating, debugging, and triaging system-level problems independently.
Performing software verification to ensure system stability and the resolution of issues.
Designing and implementing system-level tests automation infrastructure.
Designing and implementing system-level tests.
Orchestrating software code submissions for new system development.
