How will you make an impact in this role?

As an Information Security Analyst I you will provide thought leadership and partner with Third Party Lifecycle Management and AXP Technologies to effectively manage third-party risk and protect the AXP brand. Your primary responsibilities will be to support our Tech Business Unit Leads and provide support for the Third-Party Relationship Managers throughout the pre-contract and post-contract risk assessment phases. Reporting to the Director of Third Party Information Security, the successful candidate will have responsibilities in supporting key Third-Party Risk Performance metrics, as well as key third-party risk milestones throughout the extensive pre and post contract risk requirements.

  • Strategic Leadership & Consultation: Provide thought leadership and act as a liaison between Third Party Lifecycle Management and American Express Technologies, ensuring the alignment of strategies, processes, and reporting to improve compliance, risk management, and operational controls.

  • Support for Third Party Relationship Managers (TRMs): Provide day-to-day guidance and support to American Express Technologies Third Party Relationship Managers, ensuring alignment with compliance and operational goals. Assist with managing the performance and interactions with third-party suppliers.

  • Training & Education: Educate Third Party Relationship Managers and third-party vendors on third-party requirements through various channels such as presentations, one-on-one sessions, and department meetings. Ensure that all parties are well-informed of compliance and operational expectations.

  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory for all American Express Technologies third-party Suppliers in the Third-Party Lifecyle Management Program, ensuring up-to-date records and documentation of vendor relationships and compliance statuses.

  • Process & Efficiency Improvements: Assist in the development, implementation, and governance of processes and initiatives that enhance compliance and efficiency. Advocate for an automation mindset, consistently seeking process improvements.

  • Relationship Building & Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships across diverse groups within the organization, leading meetings to gather and document critical data and information that will directly impact American Express Technologies business control and compliance rating.

  • Metrics & Reporting : Develop and deliver appropriate metrics for ongoing reporting to measure the effectiveness of Third-Party Lifecyle Management processes. Work to ensure that the data collected is useful for compliance reviews and decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Third-Party Lifecycle Management and Global Supplier Management sourcing.

  • Working Knowledge preferred of Process Unity, Third-Party Lifecycle Management, Third Party Security Management, Conga, Archer, Ariba, Central, Smart Buy, Identity and Access Management, and MS Office Suite-emphasis on Excel.

  • Experience in providing consultative support on risk management, compliance, and operational controls.

  • Proven ability to educate and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to manage complex tasks and collaborate across teams in structured and unstructured environments.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders without authority to ensure compliance and operational performance goals are achieved for American Express Technologies.

  • A proactive mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement in processes and workflows.

  • Ability to manage inventory and ensure accurate records for third-party suppliers in a compliance-focused program

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong background in procurement, vendor management, risk management and the TLM-GSM Lifecycle.

  • Experience working with third-party vendors and managing vendor relationships

Qualifications

Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually bonus benefits
