The Design Team is responsible for the design and art direction of all core communications, including product launches and seasonal campaigns across Retail, Channel, Packaging, Keynote, and Events. Working in a highly collaborative manner, the Design Team works to define and evolve the look and feel of all Apple product art direction, through the focus of experimentation, critical thinking, and extraordinary attention to detail.
Description
The Junior Designer is an integral member of the team creating innovative and compelling work from ideation to execution. In this role, you will become instrumental in developing work that inspires the customers for one of the most beloved brands.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will brainstorm, coordinate, and collaborate frequently in order to bring to life Apple’s key elements of design and art direction.
- Under the direction of senior staff, executing graphic design layouts, graphics, and systems. Contributing to Apple graphic design projects from conception to completion.
- Frequently multitasking on design projects that require creative problem solving, robust craft, and a high attention to detail.
- Required to adapt quickly to new information and creative direction to apply it to design presentations and deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications
0-1 year of graphic design experience, with a working knowledge of the principles of graphic design, branding, and art direction
Prior internship(s), group or personal project exposure, and/or similar working experience with a design focus
A portfolio of work exhibiting design, branding, and/or art direction projects
Excellent skills with design software, primarily the Adobe Creative Suite
BA or BFA degree in Graphic Design or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
You are curious and passionate about design — with a keen awareness of the evolving landscape of available tools, technologies, resources, and trends.
You are a motivated and driven designer that collaborates well with a team to find simple solutions to complex problems.
Ability to articulate ideas in a clear manner, engage in healthy debate, and accept directional feedback.
Ability to produce design projects with sharp written and verbal communication, organization, and attention to detail
Cinema 4D, 3D software, and animation skills are a plus.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $35.10 and $52.65/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
