Description
This dynamic and fast-paced role continually elevates and adapts our applications and processes to the ever-evolving business needs. This role will focus on building tools, web apps, automation, and other solutions to accelerate the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team during new product introductions, while also leading the agile project management practices that drive those efforts forward. Approximately 30–40% of the role will be concentrated on software development—architecting and building systems to unify the organizations software tools. An additional 30–40% will focus on cross functional alignment and agile project management—including sprint planning, backlog prioritization, stakeholder coordination, and delivery tracking. Up to 20% of the role will involve oversight of critical software systems administration.
A successful Software Developer in Operations Systems Architecture is a self-starter, organized and goal-oriented; can turn an open-ended challenge into a clear, explainable plan; uses data to motivate decisions; communicates with ease at all levels; and has a strong drive to understand both the problem and the context when making decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
12+ years of project experience and interest in architecting application interactions and building applications or services in manufacturing, supply chain, or large scale operations.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar technical field.
Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 10–15%.
Ability to evaluate and contribute code in TypeScript, Python, and Java, with React experience a plus.
Demonstrated experience leading agile teams and managing project delivery using frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban, including backlog management, sprint metrics, and stakeholder communication.
Experience with RESTful practices and streaming/eventing platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ in support of applications and/or data pipelines.
Proven track record of owning and delivering on cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience querying SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL; experience with Snowflake a plus.
Experience with elements of web applications, including web design, application wire-framing, and technical roadmap planning.
Experience building CI/CD tooling to accelerate team’s time to feedback and time to delivery
