Summary

Apple is currently seeking an enthusiastic Display Technologist to lead the innovation on optical design and optimization of displays used in iPhone, Watch, iPad, and other product categories. If you’re an expert in modeling and ready to tackle real-world challenges, come join our team! In collaboration with globally recognized experts in OLED device development, panel architecture design, and display module integration, we will have the potential to transform Apple products. Candidates with strong problem-solving skills combined with deep interest in displays will be preferred.

Description

  • Develop and assess new display technologies and components, across a range of Apple products and systems.

  • Design algorithms that can predict and improve the performance of OLED displays in Apple products.

  • Work with internal teams and external suppliers to characterize, model, and improve display performance through models;

  • Validate performance metrics and analyze large quantity data during both development and production phases.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate novel display technologies

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, physics, applied physics, or related engineering field such as materials engineering/electrical engineering and 3 or more years of relevant experience

  • Experience with coding in high-level programming languages such as Python or C+ Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD or Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience in computer science, applied mathematics, physics, applied physics, or related engineering field such as materials engineering/electrical engineering.

  • Experience in deep learning algorithm design.

  • Knowledge in organic light emitting diodes (OLED) displays.

  • Expertise in optical modeling techniques, such as TMM, Raytracing, FDTD, RCWA, or Fourier optics.

  • Capability to analyze large quantity data and draw meaningful/actionable conclusions.

  • Proficiency in programming with any of the following languages: Matlab, Python, Java, C++ Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders across multiple teams.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
