Description

Your role will be to develop innovative metrology solutions for Apple Vision products. Firstly, this entails work across teams and with multiple colleagues to better understand product needs and set the targets that make great products. Secondly, you will work to define the right metrology solutions and develop optimized strategies to verify that our product designs hit these targets. In doing this, you will be spending time working on state of the art metrology tools; extending their capabilities; and developing novel ways to measure and characterize Apple products. Your work helps Apple yield the most amazing products that only apple can imagine and deliver!

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in computer science, mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent

• 5+ years of experience in related role

• Strong programming and data analysis skills

• Background in metrology development and customization

• Great problem solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• MS in computer science, mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent

• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to prototype and test independently

• Broad skillset across the domains of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science and optics

• Background in computer vision algorithms

• Background in robotics design, prototyping, and validation

• Experience in consumer manufacturing and mechanical design

• Programming and data analysis experience in Python

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
