Description

At American Express, our culture is built on a 175-year history of innovation, shared values and Leadership Behaviors, and an unwavering commitment to back our customers, communities, and colleagues. As part of Team Amex, you'll experience this powerful backing with comprehensive support for your holistic well-being and many opportunities to learn new skills, develop as a leader, and grow your career.

Here, your voice and ideas matter, your work makes an impact, and together, you will help us define the future of American Express.

At Enterprise Digital, we place enormous emphasis on users and usability. With our mix of assets like payments, rewards, benefits and members only perks, we are re-imagining how commerce and experiences converge in a modern, digital and connected world.

We are looking for a Senior Associate, Digital Product Management to join our Application Experience Platforms team and help deliver and execute on an exciting vision. Our team builds platform products that plug seamlessly into experiences owned by dozens of teams across the Enterprise. Instead of one-off, siloed solutions, we create powerful, reusable capabilities that make life easier for our colleagues – and, ultimately, millions of customers using these experiences. You’ll help shape some of the most pivotal capabilities in our customer’s lifecycle at scale.

If you are passionate about turning complexity into clarity, building impactful products used by millions of customers and working in a space where speed, quality and security are equally important, we would love to hear from you.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Own the backlog for your scrum team, turning business needs into clear, actionable stories

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand their goals and translate them into platform products

  • Shape the vision for existing products, balancing near-term delivery with long term scalability

  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure our solutions separate business logic from interfaces – keeping our architecture clean, modular and easy to integrate

  • Champion reusability, ensuring new features can serve multiple experiences without costly rework

  • Prioritize ruthlessly based on value, effort, and risk, keeping stakeholders informed along the way

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A hands-on Product Owner with relevant experience working within an agile software development team

  • Previous experience managing end-to-end software execution within an agile environment for digital products

  • Skilled at stakeholder management with the ability to navigate competing priorities across multiple teams

  • Adept at writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria that make life easier for developers and testers alike

  • Comfortable connecting business needs to technical realities, even if you’re not writing code yourself

  • Excited by the idea of building once, using many times and making a measurable impact on both efficiency and customer experience

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills with good attention to detail

Qualifications

Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually bonus benefits

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.

We back you with benefits that support your holistic well-being so you can be and deliver your best. This means caring for you and your loved ones' physical, financial, and mental health, as well as providing the flexibility you need to thrive personally and professionally:

  • Competitive base salaries

  • Bonus incentives

  • 6% Company Match on retirement savings plan

  • Free financial coaching and financial well-being support

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability benefits

  • Flexible working model with hybrid, onsite or virtual arrangements depending on role and business need

  • 20 weeks paid parental leave for all parents, regardless of gender, offered for pregnancy, adoption or surrogacy

  • Free access to global on-site wellness centers staffed with nurses and doctors (depending on location)

  • Free and confidential counseling support through our Healthy Minds program

  • Career development and training opportunities
