How will you make an impact in this role?
The Enterprise Data and AI organization unites the data governance, strategy, engineering, and product teams with those responsible for AI engineering, generative AI enablement, and automation product and engineering. This group plays a pivotal role in leveraging data as a core driver of innovation and integrating AI capabilities to transform products, operations, and customer experiences. The EDAI organization also incorporates technology Research & Development and experimentation with emerging capabilities, along with engineering support for Amex Digital Labs. This integration ensures that research breakthroughs seamlessly translate into business impact.
This position will lead the enterprise enablement of GenAI solutions, platforms, and approach for Amex including Product, Program, Capabilties, and other related functions. It acts as a strategic partner and advisor in terms of technology, innovation, know-how, organizational technical core competency, product commercialization, and program execution. This role works closely with strategic product, technology and venture partners to define the needs being addressed for GenAI.
On any given day, you might:
Operate a consultative GenAI client solutions practice responsible for identifying, harvesting, grooming, and enabling use cases across the company.
Support the evolution of use cases who need product guidance, best practices, enablement support, and thought leadership.
Scale and evolve our successful GenAI enablement layer with relevant capabilities, documentation, and support to power GenAI use cases across Amex.
Elevate key priorities, opportunities, and challenges to leadership for strategic consideration and collaboration.
Enforce performance transparency of pilots and use cases to ensure key metrics are being met and company resources are deployed most effectively.
Partner across the organization to lead enablement requirements and processes in acquiring an in-depth understanding of the customer needs, and applying both strategic and tactical methods to stay on top of the evolving trends in the competitive landscape.
Act as both a strategic problem solver and architect for the future technology and capability needs for GenAI at Amex.
Build a diverse team by attracting and recruiting top talent.
Drive continuous organizational and leadership development.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or other related fields.
At least 10 years of project management, product management and/or leadership experience in technology roles.
Proven track record building, launching and driving products through the lifecycle.
Ability to bring innovative thinking coupled with practical execution to solve multi-dimensional issues.
Demonstrated leadership and management experience in working with cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams on complex projects.
Understands team dynamics and experienced at building teams that deliver results. Requires excellent written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Highly focused on meeting the needs of partners and customers.
Experience in building and leading teams including talent acquisition and development
Ability to influence leadership to adopt new ideas, products and/or approaches
Brings support and positive attributes to a culture that is respectful, supportive, goal oriented, scientific and diverse.
Must have ability to read and understand complex contracts of the business, work with the legal and transaction teams and operate the R&D program in awareness of the foregoing.

Salary Range: $176,750.00 to $282,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
