Quality is a critical part of everything we do, as a Quality Engineering Manager you will lead a team of passionate engineers, working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment, facing exciting new challenges daily. You will manage the team focussed on testing application software used to collect data and develop Apple’s next generation features and algorithms. This includes technologies such as VisionPro, Multitouch, TouchID, and FaceID. You will interact with all engineering disciplines including software, algorithm, user study operations and project management teams. You will oversee the data lifecycle from user interactions to high quality, useable data, ready for consumption by algorithm research teams. You possess a high-energy personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, patience, and a tenacity for high quality data. Description
An excellent candidate will:
- Drive data collection SW platform quality and stability
- Grow and develop members of the QE Team
- Strive to innovate and try new things, incorporating continuous improvement of testing methods and test automation
- Thrive in uncertain, rapid project schedules, being able to quickly shift priorities and keep up the deliverables
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Computer Science or related and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience, with 1+ years experience as a Software Quality Manager preferably for Mobile/MacOS applications
5+ years of experience developing test automation frameworks and driving test automation efforts for SW apps in Python
3+ years of test automation experience in Python
Preferred Qualifications
MS in Computer science or related with 3+ years of experience as a Software Quality Manager preferably for Mobile/MacOS applications
Strong leadership skills to work with cross functional partners (Algorithms, FW, SW, Ops, EPM)
Team Builder: Proven track record demonstrating the ability to attract, hire, motivate and develop the best engineers
Technically Agile: Ready to deep dive into technical areas when needed but also discuss these topics to a non-technical audience
Priority Driven: At ease working in a continually changing, dynamic environment and driving top issues to resolution
Exec Presence: Ability to summarize key points and tie them back to the customer experience
Customer Focused: Passionate about user-focused design, high-quality applications, and what we can do to improve it
Highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results
Strong presentation skills
UI/UX test experience
In-depth knowledge and experience with Swift programming and developing iOS test automation with Xcode UI automation framework
