Job Description

American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is a global leader in corporate payments, powering businesses of all sizes. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Manager - Pricing Strategy to help shape how we win in the market—balancing competitive deal structuring with long-term profitability.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you will partner with senior sales leaders, influence multimillion-dollar deals, and help define pricing strategies across a diverse portfolio of products and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Structure and evaluate complex deals (local, regional, global) to drive both growth and profitability

  • Partner with Sales teams to develop competitive, data-driven pricing strategies for new and existing clients

  • Translate financial analysis into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership

  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Finance, Risk, Legal, Product) to ensure strong governance and execution

  • Influence new product pricing strategies in partnership with Product teams

  • Build pricing frameworks, tools, and go-to-market materials

  • Monitor market, competitor, and regulatory trends to inform pricing decisions

  • Support client-facing discussions where pricing expertise is critical

Qualifications

  • Experience in financial analysis, consulting or banking

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills

  • Ability to simplify complex financial concepts into clear business insights

  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and work across teams

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree

  • Experience within pricing or commercial payments

  • Familiarity with internal pricing processes, governance, and financial metrics
