How will you make an impact in this role?

The Executive Assistant - Corporate Development will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Executive Vice President, Head of Corporate Development. Corporate Development executes strategically relevant and ?nancially sound transactions for American Express that enhance pro?tability, supplement growth and optimize the company’s use of capital. The Corporate Development team is composed of American Express Ventures, the group that sources and executes strategic investments, an M&A team that is responsible for M&A strategy development, deal negotiation and execution, and the Integration team responsible for strategically integrating acquired assets and separating parts of the company undergoing divestiture.

The Executive Assistant will be a key member of the team, supporting the Executive Vice President, Head of Corporate Development.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage calendars and schedule meetings with business partners; being proactive and thoughtful about conflicts, logistics and scope of meetings

  • Review emails to proactively action for meeting invites and approval email notifications, etc

  • Travel planning and managing itineraries; coordinating with other assistants at destination location

  • Timely and accurate preparation, review, and submission of expense reports

  • Fluency in expense systems, such as ARIBA and Concur.

  • Preparation for meetings with senior executives, town halls, etc. (e.g. documents, PowerPoints, video conferencing, in-person meetings, and other logistics).

  • Manage on-boarding and off-boarding process for new and existing employees (via team organizational charts, user access certifications, timesheets, distribution lists, etc.)

  • Support special ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned

  • Coordination of office supply management as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years’ experience in providing administrative support is required.

  • Ability to work well in a dynamic and fast-paced organization and manage multiple tasks and priorities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively on a team, sometimes under pressure with accuracy, attention to detail, professionalism, and timely, direct follow-up.

  • Strong sense of integrity and ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.

  • Ability to work with all levels of management, associates, and external business contacts.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Webex, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Qualifications

Salary Range: $38.45 to $57.70 hourly bonus benefits
