Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Mento Park, CA. Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Specialist is one of three positions reporting to the Corporate Controller. This role will focus on accounting related to the Procure-to-Pay, expense reports, month end close processes and contract database maintenance. Responsibilities:

• Update and maintain vendor database in Bill.com or NetSuite
• Coordination with team members regarding purchase requisitions and creation of POs in NetSuite
• Communication with team members seeking approvals and coding information for vendor invoices
• Process invoices with proper account and department coding and appropriate expense period
• Preparation of payment run weekly to ensure timely payments
• Ability to process and follow-up on rush items
• Update Cash Plan weekly
• Process incoming mail
• Prepaid assets; Create amortization schedule in NetSuite and reconcile monthly
• Ensure complete documentation of new vendors including W9 and appropriate approval and set up
• 1099 processing annually
• Coordination with 3rd party sales tax preparer
• Maintain contract database
• Other projects as assigned

Requirements

• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
• Solid understanding and experience with basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
• Proficiency in MS Office
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• NetSuite and Bill.Com experience is preferred
