The watchOS System Experience group is seeking a new colleague join us in shaping the future of Apple Watch. As a software engineer on the team, you will be responsible for developing new user and developer-facing features such as Widgets and Live Activities. You’ll collaborate with passionate and creative colleagues to meet ambitious goals in an environment that requires constant curiosity and growth. Are you ready to be in the middle of the action?
Description
As a software engineer on the watchOS System Experience team, you will implement new features and craft elegant APIs that delight developers and users alike. You’ll be working with engineers across Apple to unlock creative possibilities while preserving a consistent and reliable system experience across all of Apple’s platforms. You’ll join us in energetic discussions of each other’s work and ideas and be an advocate and resource for the unique needs of Apple Watch and watchOS.

Minimum Qualifications
3+ years Industry experience
Solid computer science fundamentals; a specific degree or concentration is not required
Proficiency with Swift and SwiftUI (or the capacity to become proficient quickly)
Ability to work collaboratively and explain complex ideas clearly
Upbeat, adaptable, and results-oriented attitude
Preferred Qualifications
Experience optimizing and profiling applications
Systems knowledge, such as experience with inter-process communication
Experience improving and expanding on existing complex projects
A strong intuition for UI/UX design
Passionate Apple Watch wearer or are open to becoming one!
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
