The fraud landscape is dynamic, and the modus operandi are always evolving, with fraudsters becoming ever more sophisticated and leveraging new technology for committing fraud. At the same time, the advent of Agentic AI and Agentic commerce is driving exciting innovations in the payments space, but also creating new attack vectors for fraudsters. Addressing these trends will require rapid and effective decision making, strong collaboration with internal and external partners and a strong external focus to stay plugged in to innovations, new form factors and of course adaptations by fraudsters.
The successful applicant will play a crucial role within the Fraud Risk Management Team leading fraud strategy for agentic commerce payments as well as the associated servicing strategy. This role has direct and material impact on our company’s profitability and brand, both in terms of managing fraud losses as well as driving customer experience at point of sale. The objective for the team is to drive profitable business growth by reducing the risk of fraud while supporting the rapid roll out of agentic commerce use cases. The incumbent Director would lead a team of 3 data science/risk management professionals who develop industry leading fraud and servicing strategies to maintain low fraud rates. In addition to creating strategies to reduce fraud rates, the responsibilities include driving the servicing strategy for Agentic Commerce, as well coordinating with key partners, including fraud teams, product owners and Agentic providers to manage the roadmap of Agentic commerce launches, ensuring fraud requirements are incorporated appropriately into the roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead fraud loss prevention for Agentic Commerce for the proprietary card portfolio.
Drive the strategies, capabilities and analytics supporting fraud-related servicing for Agentic Commerce
Minimize Unprofitable Fraud Related Disruptions, with specific focus on Fraud Strategy Controls.
Address Emerging Agentic Fraud Trends & Monitor Key Metrics to Take Corrective Actions.
Conceptualize and implement new variables which would help in reducing approved fraud and enable industry leading customer experience.
Lead the investigation of agentic fraud cases to identify gaps in our processes and drive remediation.
Partner with product and technology teams to develop and implement appropriate controls.
Coordinate with key partners, including fraud teams, product owners and Agentic providers to manage the roadmap of Agentic commerce launches, ensuring fraud requirements are incorporated appropriately into the roadmap
Minimum Qualifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving experience.
Exceptional ability to think both strategically and analytically.
High energy with ability to adapt to dynamic fraud landscape and changing business priorities.
Strong project management skillset, comfortable with driving requirements for integrated technology platforms.
Demonstrated ability to influence alignment across a range of goals, including ability to find win-win solutions with partners.
Proven track record of thought leadership and collaboration.
Ability to navigate through ambiguous problems, be creative and manage multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic environment.
Advanced degree in quantitative field and prior leadership experience in the payments business, or fraud risk management.
Experience/knowledge of Agentic Payments/AI preferred
Qualifications
Salary Range: $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
