As the Head of Product for AI & Personalization at Apple Music, you will set the vision and strategy for how we harness artificial intelligence to deliver deeply personal, intuitive, and engaging music experiences. You’ll lead the end-to-end product direction for personalization, recommendations, search relevance, user modeling, and content discovery—ensuring that every interaction feels uniquely tailored and aligned with our users’ tastes and behaviors.
Responsibilities
This role demands a deep passion for music and innovation, combined with a strong background in AI, personalization technologies, and large-scale product development. You will be responsible for setting strategy, prioritizing investments, and delivering delightful, highly personalized user experiences to millions of customers.
In this senior leadership role, you will manage and mentor a team of product managers working across AI/ML, personalization systems, and large-scale experimentation. You'll foster a high-performing, inclusive culture that encourages bold thinking, clear prioritization, and rapid learning.
You will partner closely with engineering, design, editorial, analytics, and marketing teams to bring personalized features to life across Apple Music. This includes defining product requirements, aligning on technical approaches, and ensuring seamless integration into the broader user experience.
As a senior leader, you’ll be expected to stay ahead of industry trends in AI, personalization, and consumer media, and to continuously bring forward new ideas and strategic insights that shape the future of Apple Music.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years leading AI/ML or personalization-focused product teams.
Proven track record of shipping large-scale, ML-powered consumer products.
Deep understanding of machine learning technologies, recommendation systems, user segmentation, and real-time personalization systems.
Experience leading experimentation and A/B testing at scale, ideally in a subscription or content platform.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing teams.
Passion for music and a deep appreciation for Apple’s mission and design principles.
Able to shape information to the appropriate level of detail and communicate it effectively.
Exceptional collaboration and communication skills; able to align diverse teams around a shared vision while confidently standing behind great ideas with clarity and conviction.

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $208,400 and $365,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
