Summary
The Display Hardware team is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design
and development of next generation displays in Mac products. You will be working in a
collaborative environment where creativity and innovation are supported and expected.

Description
- Participate in core architecture definition and investigation while working closely with
Apple cross-functional partners. - Lead design of PCB and electrical characterization/validation from prototype through
mass production - Analyze & give feedback on mechanical and thermal constraints impacting EE design
- Run simulations to meet various requirements such as Display, Touch, and Graphics
- Participate in cross-functional design reviews as a stakeholder in the overall system
design - Provide technical support and debug factory production issues.
- Communicate and present technology updates and project status to executives and
cross-functional teams. - Manage project milestones and issues through product development builds
- Perform failure analysis on electrical, mechanical, and optical issues
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Electrical engineering with minimum 10 years industrial experience.
- Direct experience in mixed signal EE design at either IC or PCB level
- Expert in circuit design and analyses. Fluent with Spice based simulation tools.
- Hands-on experience in prototype bring-up and debugging, functional verification and
manufacturing support
- Experienced in EE validation/characterization tasks, and familiar with lab tools and
equipment
- Experience in three or more of the following areas:
- DC-DC power converter design & analysis
- High Speed signaling, SI/PI/crosstalk analysis
- Schematic capture, PCB layout design, BOM creating with ECAD tools
- Scripting, data processing or automation skills, programming experience in
Python, Shell script, Matlab or similar tools
- FPGA/CPLD/MCU programming and design
Preferred Qualifications
- MSEE or PhD preferred.
- Working knowledge on modern display technologies, such as LCD, TFT, OLED, LED
etc, is a plus.
- Consumer electronics and high-volume production experience.
- Ability to communicate and present technology updates and project status to
executives and functional teams.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
