Job Description
The US Patient Services team is an industry leading organization, providing unparalleled patient support, resulting in improved brand loyalty and patient satisfaction. The Director of Access & Reimbursement Strategy reports to the Head of Enrollment and Triage Support and develops/leads strategies to optimize access to AbbVie’s products. Collaborating with Access & Reimbursement leadership, Payer, Trade, and Hub teams, the Director oversees initiatives that enhance AbbVie's patient support programs, access strategies, and reimbursement programs.
Major Responsibilities:
Develop Access and Reimbursement Strategies: Lead the development of comprehensive access and reimbursement strategies in partnership with APS, Market Access, Trade and Hub teams, to maximize patient access to our products while ensuring financial viability.
Execution: Oversees key, high-visibility strategic initiatives and drives change management and stakeholder engagement across a diverse and highly matrixed Patient Services organization ensuring prioritized deliverables and milestones are met within budget and time parameters.
Performance Measurement/Impact: Partner with Strat Ops, MABI, BTS, and other leadership teams to establish KPIs for assessing access and reimbursement strategy effectiveness. Implement and manage quarterly business reviews across all Access and Reimbursement teams in partnership with the Head of Enrollment and Triage Support.
Market Knowledge: Stays informed about changes in healthcare policy, reimbursement regulations, and market trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with and align objectives to internal stakeholders (including Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, and Legal, Quality, OEC, SPDO, BTS, etc.).
Stakeholder Management: Represents Access & Reimbursement in partnering with key businesses and senior leaders to drive alignment between business strategy and key stakeholders.
Develop and maintain an effective organization of responsibility, including efficient recruiting, training, coaching, recognition and workflow patterns.
Oversee annual budgeting process and ensure HUB programs are operating at or below planned budget levels
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred
15+ years of experience in healthcare
7+ years supervisory experience
The role requires strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, project management leadership skills, and strong understanding of patient services business areas.
Proven ability to drive outstanding employee performance and engagement through developing, coaching, motivating, energizing and inspiring team members.
Vendor management and performance oversight, with the ability to drive results through clear governance, KPIs, and continuous improvement

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. ?

Salary: $156,000 - $296,500
