The Retail Technology Engineering team designs, develops and deploys apps and digital experiences that shape the future of Apple Retail stores globally. You'll be a part of a dynamic team of full stack engineers, who work in partnership with various cross-functional Apple teams, to deliver innovative, scalable solutions to tens of thousands of Apple devices across 500+ stores world wide. Description

We’re seeking a talented systems engineer, who will ensure quality, curated, digital content is produced and delivered on time for Apple stores. This work will be achieved in collaboration with Apple Retail, WWPM, Software Engineering and IS&T organizations. Successful candidates are humble, curious, creative, tenacious, organized, have clarity of thought and can lead through ambiguity

Understand and implement the end to end demo content creation and production process, including scripting, working in command line / Python for automation, device flashing, as well as maintain technical documentation

Provide clear technical feedback & requirements for tooling improvements, enhancements and roadmap development to cross-functional engineering teams by testing, root cause analysis, bug triage.

Engineer and implement prototypes and automation to help validate ideas for demo experiences, as well as to increase efficiency

Drive the planning cycle, as well as the content curation, procurement and standardization process to ensure Plan of Record (POR) for all demo releases are clear. Plan and execute seamlessly against this POR

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent

  • 2+ years of engineering experience related to feature development, testing, automation, device management as well as systems integration, including leveraging AI for automation and data-driven decisioning

  • Demonstrated proficiency with device configuration, management, flashing and troubleshooting (e.g. bricked devices) for factory and production builds, including OTA updates to consumer devices

  • Scripting with Bash/Python to build automation tools, diagnostics, testing and CLI tools

  • Experience designing, developing and implementing demo experiences for consumer devices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Swift or Apple operating systems

  • Experience aligning multiple cross-functional stakeholders

  • Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies and Git workflows

  • Familiarity with NPI (new production introduction) events

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,900 and $214,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
