Here, your voice and ideas matter, your work makes an impact, and together, you will help us define the future of American Express.We are seeking a talented and passionate Product Director to lead our Hospitality Product team and lead the Resy OS suite of products that serve our restaurant partners. The product suite, comprised of a native iOS app and web dashboard, includes a wide range of features and functionality that keep us competitive with other table management software providers and support our partners in running their day-to-day operations. With Resy OS, restaurant operators can set up user permissions and service settings, manage reservations and tables, track guests, and view real-time data to help them deliver the best hospitality to diners.

The Director of Hospitality Product leads a team of three Product Managers and drives a cohesive product strategy across multiple squads and roadmaps. In this role, you will partner closely with two fellow Directors of Hospitality Product, as well as Engineering and Design leadership, to translate business requirements into actionable plans, identify dependencies, and align priorities to deliver meaningful outcomes that move the business forward. You will bring together the individual workstreams of your Product Managers to define what success looks like, set clear priorities, and guide day to day execution in support of broader company objectives. This position reports directly to Resy’s VP of Product Management.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Developing and refining the Hospitality B2B strategic approach and prioritization framework alongside the Product, Engineering and Business teams

  • Being the source of truth for our Hospitality Product audience, prioritization process and product experience

  • Establishing and maintaining standards for product quality, and ensuring that issues are escalated and resolved in a timely manner

  • Managing all Product Management team members on the Hospitality Product team

  • Partnering with members of the Product Leadership team to define success metrics and goals tied to your team’s performance and growth

  • Monitoring and escalating capacity issues and blockers that could prevent the team from achieving their objectives or meeting timelines

  • Supporting the integration strategy with American Express’ recent acquisitions of Tock and Rooam

  • Serving as a key counterpart to Operational Excellence stakeholders to ensure all product enhancements are meeting compliance and privacy standards

  • Creating connective tissue and highlighting gaps between different strategies and projects across the team

  • Refining the process and working model for the Hospitality Product Management team to support end-to-end delivery across the software development lifecycle

  • This role is ideal for someone with a passion for B2B or marketplace products and a strong interest in people leadership. It is highly collaborative and strategic, requiring close partnership with Product, Engineering, and Business teams, as well as stakeholders across the Resy and Amex ecosystem. You’ll join a dynamic Product team that values iteration, collaboration, and data-driven thinking, all in pursuit of our mission to connect the best diners with the world’s best restaurants and deliver exceptional hospitality.

WHO YOU ARE?

  • 7 years in a Product role

  • Analytical and methodical thinker with the ability to leverage qualitative and quantitative data to inform the roadmap, converting it into concrete product requirements

  • Passionate about technology, product, user insights and data

  • Strong time management and organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Grasp of technical concepts and comfort working closely with engineers and product managers

  • Grasp of user experience and user research concepts and comfort working closely with designers and UX researchers

  • Collaborative and inclusive approach that values diverse perspectives and helps uncover and address questions and assumptions

  • Team player with strong communication skills who evangelizes product knowledge and thinking across the team and broader business

  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • Able to navigate ambiguity and manage high degrees of change

  • Creative problem solver who appreciates thinking in the “white space” and designing complex, new-to-market solutions

  • Takes an ethical approach to product strategy and understands how to assess and navigate risk

  • Proven track record of mentoring Product Managers and desire to nurture and upskill talent

  • Shares our love of restaurants and dining out, and wants to play a role in helping the dining industry continue to thrive also a plus

Qualifications

Salary Range: $150,000.00 to $225,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
