The AIML Asset Delivery team is responsible for building, packaging, publishing and downloading ML models for Apple devices to enable Apple Intelligence features (Summarization, Clean Up in Photos, Genmoji etc), Siri on device, and Dictation. We work across all OS platforms, including iOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, visionOS.
As a triage and diagnostic tooling engineer for the AIML Asset Delivery team, you will be working in a dynamic engineering environment, facing exciting new challenges daily. You will work to understand and characterize incoming bugs and improve tooling to help with this process.

Description
Your triage work will focus on aspects of the over-the-air delivery of system assets and you will analyze incoming bugs, root cause the issue based on past reports or assign to appropriate teams or engineers for further investigation. You will leverage your strong communication skills to surface the most critical issues quickly.
You will also enhance and/or develop triage methods and tools to help streamline the process.
Successful candidates will have strong and methodical debugging and problem-solving skills, deep curiosity, attention to detail, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. You have experience with macOS/iOS, and often help others with their devices.
Minimum Qualifications
Excellent problem solving skills
Strong communication skills with engineers, project managers, QA, escalating when needed
Eager to learn, not shy about asking questions
Experience triaging system level issues and analyzing system logs
Curiosity and perseverance to track problems through many layers of the software stack
Excited about using your skills to improve tools, write new scripts, and recommend process improvements to help improve root cause identification
Experience with bug reporting tools
Comfortable working in Terminal/Unix shell
Scripting/coding experience(Ability to write/modify shell scripts, Familiarity with regular expressions, Experience with python, Experience with Git/Source Control)
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to ObjC/Swift
Familiarity with Apple’s software update processes
Awareness of over-the-air updates and the related challenges
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $214,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
