Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Irvine, California. Work with an experienced engineering team to deliver new media playback and rendering techniques and systems. Develop and build UI for service endpoints. Perform Service Architecture Design and Project Scaling Planning using experience with designing distributed data pipelines. Develop media player and pipelines that utilize system resources in new ways. Leverage experience in video and audio playback, and 3d graphics and real time rendering (Metal) to research new rendering and playback methods. Work with the augmented reality (AR) platform ARKit and Metal 2 to create new Products. Leverage experience in coding languages such as C++, Objective-C and Swift. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 - $210,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • Experience and/or education must include:

  • Utilizing containerization technologies including Docker to manage and deploy services.

  • Utilizing JavaScript to implement real time collaboration features for the web.

  • 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:

  • Utilizing Splunk for log storage and analysis.

  • Designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems.

  • Utilizing continuous integration and deployment pipelines to ensure that changes are incorporated into shipping software and deployed correctly.

  • Debugging software utilizing an interactive debugger to triage and reproduce client/server issues.

  • Experience in data visualization, including formatting analytics data, and experience presenting data to senior engineers.

  • Experience with scripting languages and tools, specifically Shell, Git, and Python.

  • 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:

  • Utilizing Golang, JavaScript and C++ to design and develop multi-language codebases.

  • Experience with a ticketing system for tracking project timelines, progress and assigning tasks.
