We are seeking a strategic and highly analytical senior business manager to join the WW Marketplace Platforms & Technologies team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business growth and influencing product strategy for the alternative app distribution business, including the Core Technology Fee (CTF). Collaborating with a broad set of cross-functional partners, you will develop and assess strategic opportunities to grow the business spanning product, policy and partnerships. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to define the value of Apple’s platform and distribution technologies (APIs, SDKs, and Developer Tools) and integrate them into business model and product strategy assessments.
Description
Drive business & product strategy decisions for the alternative app distribution business, including Core Technology Fee (CTF), in collaboration with Legal, Finance, Product, Engineering, Developer Relations, Data Science and Market Research
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to effectively define the value of Apple’s platform and distribution technologies through technical, competitive and financial benchmarking
Develop analytical frameworks that integrate data and market insights to guide business growth and strategy discussions
Construct quantitative models to evaluate product, policy and partnership scenarios using diverse data sources
Translate market and developer feedback into actionable insights that influence Product and Engineering roadmaps
Synthesize data analytics and market research into insights reporting that informs executive decision-making
Collaborate with Finance & Business Development to establish business planning processes
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of experience in business management, product management, product strategy or management consulting
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Science, Engineering, or another quantitative field
Preferred Qualifications
Rich experience in analytical and quantitative roles with exposure to business case modeling
Deep knowledge of the mobile apps ecosystem with a fluency in common business models
Proven ability to collaborate with engineering and product teams to evaluate technical products and define their value in relation to business models
Strong eye for business and products, high intellectual curiosity, and deep passion for Apple’s products and mission
Ability to work comfortably under ambiguity to deliver fully developed and well-reasoned analyses with strong attention to detail
Entrepreneurial mentality and high agency to take a proactive and resourceful role in leading project work-streams from end-to-end
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills — able to synthesize business and technical content into compelling narratives, deliver presentations, and engage in discussion with senior stakeholders and executives
Excellent interpersonal skills; Adept at working cross-functionally and managing senior stakeholder relationships
High proficiency in Excel with strong competency (or ability to learn) in SQL
Strong knowledge of European Union consumer market and regulatory environment
MBA or equivalent experience
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $195,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
