The U.S. Consumer Services Team is responsible for our suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including our premium, cobrand, cash back, and lending portfolios, Membership Rewards, Global Travel & Lifestyle Services, the Centurion Lounge network, our Global Dining and Resy businesses, U.S. Consumer Banking, and best-in-class marketing programs across customer, prospect, and partner channels. The USCS team is focused on making membership an indisputable competitive advantage and helping each other become better leaders every day.

The U.S. Consumer Marketing team (USCM) is part of the US Consumer Services Group and is responsible for making membership essential by creating and delivering world class marketing for our differentiated products and services that drives demand and inspires engaged card members across the customer lifecycle.

As a member of the Marketing, Membership & Investment Optimization (MMIO) team, the Senior Manager, Personalization Strategy & Governance will lead efforts to actively evaluate, elevate, and execute key compliance and control processes, and drive overall strategic prioritization and roadmap management for a complex, multi-year personalization effort. This role will combine strategic planning with structured program governance to ensure we deliver both business impact and control excellence.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and disciplined operator who thrives at the intersection of strategy, governance, and execution. They are adept at managing cross-functional workstreams, identifying dependencies, and turning ambiguity into clear, actionable plans that drive measurable outcomes and operational rigor.

This role offers the opportunity to shape and mature a growing program with high visibility across Marketing, Technology, Risk, LOBCO, Control Management, and other enterprise partners.

  • Lead annual planning and ongoing road mapping and prioritization to ensure alignment of personalization initiatives with broader strategic goals and resources.

  • Track program deliverables, measure impact, and recommend planning adjustments based on evolving priorities.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all risk management activities, audits, and partner requests. Provide expert guidance and ensure adherence to enterprise control standards.

  • Prepare executive-level materials and communications for a variety of forums on a regular basis.

  • Lead the quarterly control execution process and design new controls as business needs evolve, ensuring our approach scales with experience and risk environment.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Compliance, Risk, and Control Management) to embed effective governance and ensure adherence to enterprise standards without slowing innovation.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen the control environment through enhanced and automated processes, data visibility, and governance practices, and anticipate future needs as the personalization ecosystem evolves.

  • Serve as a bridge between product/tech, marketing, and control partners, translating findings and processes across business areas into practical recommendations that strengthen execution.

  • Establish and manage data logs, reporting, and alert systems that promote compliant program management and facilitate issue investigation and resolution.

  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation, SOPs, and governance materials, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of required deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect operational details to broader business objectives

  • Proven experience in program management, strategic planning, control management, or operations within a matrixed organization.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with an ability to translate complex processes into actionable controls

  • Strong business acumen and comfort influencing senior stakeholders through clear, data-driven insights

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives and drive alignment across diverse teams

  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills with experience developing materials for senior leadership

  • High attention to detail and comfort managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent degree preferred

Qualifications

Salary Range: $103,750.00 to $174,750.00 annually bonus benefits
