The Graphics, Games & Machine learning team is looking for an Engineering Project Manager to help shape our next-generation products and SW features. You’ll be responsible for leading planning, execution, and communication between several engineering groups at Apple, and helping define/run processes that ensure Display, UI rendering, and compositing technologies deliverables are met. This role requires an energetic and motivated individual with strong communication, organization, and technical skills who works well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Description

Apple’s Graphics, Games & Machine learning (GGML) group provides the graphics software foundation across all of Apple's innovative products, from iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AppleTV and Vision Pro.

Join our cross-functional team, focusing on UI Rendering and Display software technologies, which are at the core of designing and implementing solutions for rendering and enhancing every device experience that renders to a display. Examples of technologies that we've developed include High Dynamic Range (HDR) Video and Images, Always on Display, Dynamic, ProMotion, External Display support, and Pro Color features such as Display Presets.

As the Engineering Project Manager, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Driving the SW development lifecycle from concept through launch, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative features.
- Drive, own, and ship all aspects of large, cross-functional efforts and feature across HW/SW.
???- Partner with engineering & various cross-functional teams to build proven plans to track architecture, design, implementation and validation activities.
?- Maintaining clear communication and documentation on the program’s status, including risks, schedules, and resources.
?- Fostering a culture of innovation, leading teams to develop cutting-edge technology and setting the strategic direction for projects at Apple.
?- Strive for continuous improvements and increased efficiency across program management processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years of program management experience in software, hardware, or systems engineering

  • environments.

  • Experience with graphics driver stacks, shader compilers, and GPU architecture.

  • Experience with GPU architectures and their application in Al/ML workloads, particularly model training and inference and applying them in partnership with engineering teams.

  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to align teams around architecture, milestones, and execution plans.

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS/MS (EE/CS/CE), or a related technical field.

  • Strong technical background, capable of working closely with engineering teams to manage software/hardware integration, performance, and scalability.

  • Exposure to 3D graphics APls (Metal, Vulkan, OpenGL, or DirectX), is considered a strong asset for driving alignment across technical teams

  • Familiarity with GPU architectures and their application in Al/ML workloads, particularly model training and inference and applying them in partnership with engineering teams.

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of managing complex cross-team projects and delivering successful results.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and evolving requirements.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Passion for building world-class user experiences through advanced graphics and compute technologies.
