Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Collaborate with all management levels from line supervision to executive management to ensure Accessories Quality. Support the New Products Introduction team by specifying and implementing the Product Quality Plan for new accessory products. Drive closure of technical operational issues related to SMT, Final Assembly, Test, and Packaging. Drive supplier's performance improvement through objective measurement and analysis of production line yields, quality audits, reliability testing, and field returns. Work closely with Asia-based Engineers to ensure that Product Quality Plan deliverables are understood and properly implemented. Develop and enhance systems to ensure products are delivered with flawless cosmetics. Use lessons learned from previous programs to avoid pitfalls and shorten the production execution learning curve. Lead sustaining quality improvement forums. Call out key issues and presenting options for resolution to the cross-functional team and executive management. 30% international or domestic travel is required. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,248.00 - $236,700.00/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
Utilizing expertise in statistical knowledge, including: Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility, Capability Studies and Design of Experiments.
Utilizing deep understanding and experience in high volume manufacturing to effectively guide factories to produce high quality products.
Utilizing knowledge in quality tools, including failure analysis and permanent corrective actions to uncover problems leading to poor quality and implement actions to prevent re-occurrence of the failure.
Utilizing Reliability Engineering to implement product reliability testing to prevent early product failure and extend the usable life of the product.
Utilizing expertise in international quality management standards and project management, conduct audits to improve supplier product quality and process output
Utilizing knowledge in high-speed metal stamping plating/coating includes failure modes, causes and preventions.
Utilizing knowledge in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing to ensure product drawings are correctly applied at all nodes in the supply chain to produce the Designer’s intentions.
