The Health AIML team is at the forefront of machine learning and health science at Apple. We are a close-knit team of highly accomplished, deeply technical research scientists and machine learning engineers focused on delivering innovative and impactful technologies for users. We are looking for a senior researcher passionate about solving real-world problems in the health domain that make a difference in our customers' lives.

Description

In this role, you will use your skills and experience in state-of-the-art generative models to design, implement and evaluate novel user experiences that impact our customers’ health. The successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally to translate research at the intersection of Health and Machine Learning into impactful features.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare AI/ML with demonstrated expertise in deep learning, large language models (LLMs), or foundation models in the healthcare domain.

• Track record in clinical-grade AI research in Health science

• Knowledge in clinical informatics, computational biology, and medicine highly preferred

• Strong background in large language models and generative models, with hands on implementation experience across pipelines, tools and technology stack

• Experience in conversational systems, retrieval augmented generation or related fields

• Ph.D. or M.S in Clinical informatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics or related fields or an equivalent qualification obtained through other avenues

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment, deal with uncertainty, and adapt to new and changing requirements

• Proven track record of contributing to diverse teams in a collaborative environment

• A passion for building outstanding and innovative products. This position involves a wide variety of interdisciplinary skills
