Description

The System Test Design Lead (TDL) champions product calibration and test strategy while balancing tradeoffs between quality / customer experience and operational requirements (assembly/test processes and costs).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, EE/CE Master’s degree preferred plus 5-10yrs experience

  • Prior experience with integration of one or more of the following technologies: acoustics, sensing (motion, touch), transducers, imaging, displays, electrical interconnect and protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, etc..)

  • Excellent understanding of hardware/software architecture and interoperability of complex systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with FMEA and FA processes - root-cause investigations of issues and recommendations for design improvements.

  • Knowledge of statistical data analysis methods.

  • Engineering build leadership, ownership for factory cal/test strategy and bringup interfacing with factory teams.

  • Have an understanding of physics and electronics; is capable of applying creativity, common sense, and technical skills to tackle sophisticated problems.

  • Outstanding problem solving ability.

  • Prior technical leadership and/or project management experience with excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Willingness to travel domestic (if required by home location,~3day trips) and internationally 5-10% of the time in 10-12 day trips.
