The Infrastructure Services Programs and Solutions team is looking for a passionate, self-motivated, and hard-working engineer to be part of a diverse, fast-paced, and high-energy team. We are seeking a Data Engineer to help build robust data and analytics solutions using advanced levels of SQL, Tableau, and Python. These data insights help drive critical business decisions on all lines of Apple Infrastructure, including fleet utilization, power management systems, and asset management.

Description

As a Data Engineer you will be at the forefront of designing, building, and operating innovative data and analytics solutions that are not only scalable but also adept at applying various technologies and frameworks to meet our complex business needs.

In this role, you will design and develop executive reporting solutions and self-service tools for Apple's cross-functional teams, focusing on exploratory data analysis. You will identify and resolve data discrepancies to create actionable visualizations that inform decision-making. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key to tracking infrastructure, measuring performance, and delivering top-tier tools and insights. You will build scalable, reusable solutions using various technologies to address complex business needs. By iterating with teams on business outcomes, you will support data modeling, analysis, and reporting alongside data scientists and engineers. Your goal is to empower business users to analyze and present insights through robust and scalable data solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or similar field or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of relevant data engineering and analytics experience

  • Highly proficient in Tableau

  • Proficiency in advanced SQL and performance tuning across MPP/NoSQL databases like Snowflake and Redshift in large-scale environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in conducting data analysis using statistical techniques, and predicting future trends using Python and other technologies.

  • Ability to design comprehensive reporting frameworks, build interactive reports, and use data visualization tools effectively.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to derive actionable business recommendations based on analytical findings.

  • Experience in JavaScript programming with knowledge of front-end frameworks like React, D3, Angular, or Vue.

  • Strong ability to learn new technologies related to Data Engineering and Advanced Analytics.

  • Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work well independently and within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Basic knowledge on Machine Learning, Generative AI concepts to assist in data analytics.

  • Tableau certification
