American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the Global leader in the Commercial Payments Solutions space and subsequently continues to be an exciting and fast-growing segment. To maintain success, data solutions and managing data risk are critical for the organization. The Commercial Data Office (CoDO) team is a core constituent in fueling this agenda, by delivering trusted data to support customer operations, back critical business processes and fuel data driven experiences, while serving as a strategic partner for enterprise data risk. To do this, CoDO partners closely with the Enterprise Data Office, GCS business, Technologies and Control Management.
The Manager Assistant will report to the Commercial Data Office Vice President who leads a global team of more than 100 colleagues and will act as a key member of the CoDO leadership team. The role contributes to planning, team management and strategic initiatives, in addition to providing strong administrative and operations support. The successful candidate will work across a wide range of strategic, engagement and communications initiatives, showcased across the enterprise, and manage a multi-million-dollar team budget.
Responsibilities include:
Thought Leadership: Be a thought leader for a global business center of excellence. Identify synergies across CoDO teams to progress our purpose and and help the leadership team be successful in delivering their goals
Talent Engagement: Understand the pulse of the organization to make suggestions for improvement, partner on engagement activities and organize colleague development programs
Operations Management: Support VP of the organization through Town Halls, LT meeting planning, communications and enterprise processes
Communication Planning and Delivery: Lead creation and distribution of organization’s “brand” materials, website and key partner updates
Opex Management: Manage overall budget for the team including monthly forecasts, headcount movements and T&E
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables in a time sensitive environment
Ability to communicate effectively including writing structured and compelling messages addressed to various audiences within the organization
Proven track record of delivering successful projects, widely in a PMO capacity
Strong relationship skills and ability to build alignment among key stakeholders
Self-starter with a high level of accountability
Ability to solve ambiguous and open-ended business challenges
Resiliency - ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Global Commercial Services business.
Knowledge of data governance and data management
Previous experience in Consulting is a plus
Qualifications
Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually bonus benefits
