Description
Would you like to come and build the next generation of Apple’s location platform that powers safety and location services on the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and future products? Minimum Qualifications
Proven ability to independently drive software design and delivery process with proactive, timely, and actionable updates on progress and roadblocks.
Experienced software developer, in C/C++ or Objective-C/C++/Swift, git, python
Well versed in software design paradigms and software development best practices including development with Gen AI assisted and agentic workflows
Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of industry or equivalent academic research experience.
Good understanding of network security, protocol analysis and debugging
Preferred Qualifications
Strong experience in collaborative software development including proactively seeking and providing feedback in code reviews and design discussions
Able to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment, and communicate effectively with multi-functional team members.
Passionate about user privacy and understand the balance between privacy and safety
Excellent at written and verbal communications
Strong passion for public safety domain
Demonstrated ability to write and speak in formal situations, such as during engagements with government officials and key stakeholders
Working knowledge of assisted GNSS call flows and 3GPP location protocols
Experience with embedded location client or server development
Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Tableau, Jupyter Notebook, etc.Familiarity with 3GPP (NR, 4G, 3G, 2G) or 3GPP2 protocols
Familiarity with public safety and emergency communications and regulations
Familiarity with JS/node.js, REST and state-based sever / client architectures
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
