Summary

Apple transforms new ideas into extraordinary products and experiences. We are seeking a Video Integration Engineer. You will be a go between from design to engineering. You will be responsible for editing and updating metadata and integration of content for multiple software releases for our consumer video products.

Our small, collaborative team creates industry-leading creative applications that empower creators across photography, video, music, and design. We work cross-functionally across multiple lines of business, solving complex technical challenges while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

In this role, you will bridge design vision and technical implementation by translating creative designs into production-ready assets, collaborating with design and engineering teams, and providing technical expertise across our product suite. If you're a versatile problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in craftsmanship, you'll directly impact products used by millions of creators.

Description

As a Video Integration Engineer, you will support the creation, optimization, and refinement of content across Apple's creative product suite. Your responsibilities will span content development, technical problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration:

  • Support the addition of new content into applications and update existing content to meet evolving product requirements across multiple creative tools and lines of business
  • Translate design specifications into technical assets and production-ready content, working closely with design and engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation
  • Test new and experimental tools and processes, identify bugs in content, and troubleshoot issues with meticulous attention to detail
  • Explore emerging technologies to discover creative ways to enhance existing content or develop entirely new solutions
  • Design, implement, and iterate on prototypes in collaboration with cross-functional team members
  • Manage metadata, file formats, image and video compression, graphics sizing, and color correction across all deliverables
  • Provide technical support and expertise to team members across lines of business on production challenges, optimization, and best practices
  • Document processes and workflows to ensure consistency and enable team knowledge-sharing
  • Test and validate all work to ensure it meets user interaction guidelines and performs optimally across devices and platforms
  • Work onsite as part of a collaborative, high-performing team

You'll wear multiple hats on our small team, including production responsibilities. You obsess over details—ensuring every asset is properly formatted, color profiles are consistent, and pixels are precisely placed. You navigate competing priorities, adapt quickly to changing requirements, and maintain composure under deadline pressure. Clear cross-disciplinary communication and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with Mac OS, Adobe Photoshop, and iWork suite (Keynote, Pages, Numbers)

  • Hands-on experience with video production, motion graphics, or animation tools (After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Motion)

  • Proficiency with software development workflows (Xcode, terminal, GIT, local builds)

  • Experience with file formats, compression techniques, graphics optimization, and color management

  • Expert-level experience using Airtable is highly desirable

  • Background in software, web, or game development

  • Onsite work required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with 3D modeling and compositing tools (Cinema 4D, Maya, or similar)

  • Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and tool development

  • Experience with design collaboration tools (Sketch or similar)

  • Knowledge of iBooks Author and content publishing workflows

  • Experience optimizing content for memory and performance

  • Ability to collaborate with engineers to resolve technical problems

  • Strong cross-disciplinary communication skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience designing with user interaction guidelines and accessibility in mind

  • Experience supporting multiple teams or lines of business on technical initiatives
