Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California. Design, implement and execute tests for testing firmware that drives Apple audio products. Attend daily standups and other cross functional team meetings to align on current project and
business priorities, share existing issues or challenges to get support from and inform other team members. Audit test results from in region team members at white glove lab for in
development firmware trains for AirPods product lines, assess failures reported for validity and escalate to development teams. Perform daily quick look testing for new firmware and
software builds available to identify regressions quickly and provide feedback to development and cross functional test teams. File bugs for issues encountered during testing to be tracked
for firmware convergence so that high priority and release blocking issues are fixed prior to scheduled releases. Review engineering requirements specification documents for new features
and new hardware, such as spatial audio. Develop test plans that fully exercise the Engineering Requirements Specification (ERS) documents for new features and new hardware using
test repository TSTT and identify tools needed for validation. Review test plans with development teams and achieve sign off for coverage. Perform exhaustive weekly and monthly test
passes and file issues as seen in testing to identify failures with specific hardware and/or Bluetooth chip sets, edge case usage scenarios or other areas that are not regularly tested in
standard daily testing. Regress issues reported by customers in field or reported internally to collect logs for root cause. Debug issues with development team members to understand root
cause analysis to identify the best possible fix for the issue and to understand that code would change in the fix to implement a test strategy for validating the fix works and has not
regressed any other area. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $164,154 - $205,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:

  • Test planning and execution, designing test strategies and coverage plans for new features able to interface with software products

  • Performing Computer Programming for test script creation, modification, and review of automation scripts

  • Interfacing with development teams for issue root cause analysis

  • Performing test case development for new features or devices

  • Driving test schedules and defect prioritization

  • Developing software feature test schedules and feature convergence

  • Reporting on software testing, test schedules, and feature convergences to leadership

  • Log analysis, including identifying log lines within defect reports
