DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Sr. Test Engineer to join our team specializing in Manufacturing in Seymour, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Enhance Product Quality By developing and upgrading test equipment, you'll ensure products meet performance standards and reduce defects before they reach customers.

  • Drive Root Cause Analysis Your ability to analyze test failures and provide actionable insights will help teams resolve issues quickly and improve product reliability.

  • Maintain Manufacturing Standards Ensuring test procedures align with manufacturing standards will support consistent, scalable, and high-quality production.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.

This position will be a Manufacturing Engineering position within the Engine Test portion of the SEP business.

  • Must be willing to be hands on with new and seasoned mechanical machinery, engine control systems, cell control systems, and associated machinery/equipment.

  • Must be willing to dynamically support projects within the larger test area as needed.

  • Experience with Comptek or other engine control systems is required. Must have experience with computer programming/control.

  • Must be a self- starter, capable of identifying, prioritizing, and working projects on own initiative, as well as completing assigned tasks/projects.

  • Daily tasks include but are not limited to: Process review, modification, approval, and implementation; Function project support/lead for ER, PQP, RFT, BIS, HSE issue resolution; Hands on machine issue troubleshooting, including PLC and engine control system issues and mechanical fixturing/fluid handling; Coordination and implementation of new processes/equipment; Lead for all new option change implementation for assigned equipment/area; Work closely/lead Skilled Trades during repair and troubleshooting activities; Work with suppliers to source, design, implement new equipment/machinery; Support production Assembly operations, collaboratively participate in design reviews, troubleshooting events, and work in cross functional teams to support plant initiatives, improvements, and goals.

  • Responsibilities include a direct report supervisory role of 1-3 hourly Advanced Manufacturing Associate (AMA), who would support same area and initiatives.
