Program QA team is looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced
QA engineer who is passionate about driving software quality improvements and en-
hancing the customer experience across Apple Books and Notes app!

Description

As an Apps Program QA Software Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for test-
ing both existing and newly developed features across all supported Apple devices.
You will create test plans, design test cases, and conduct gray-box, structural, and
ad-hoc tests to ensure Apple Books and Notes meet Apple’s standard for highest
level of quality. Additionally, you’ll escalate bug reports, and drive issues to resolu-
tion. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional
teams, contributing to the development of new features that will push our products to
the next level!

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance

  • Excellent understanding of SQA methodologies & practices

  • Excellent experience in end-user functional testing with a strong focus on the user experience

  • Experience with setting up complex test environments and strong multi-tasking capabilities

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Excellent organizational skills for bug reporting and tracking critical issues across multiple projects

  • Proven ability to conduct thorough investigations, analyze system logs and find root cause of issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with external teams to drive issues forward

  • Creative thinker and strong problem solver

  • Proficient with Python or SwiftUI

  • Experience testing Apple Intelligence features with a solid understanding of the broader AI/ML ecosystem

  • Fluency/Proficiency in Japanese or any other 2nd language is a plus

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $112,900 and $234,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
