The RF/mmW Hardware Design Engineer will design, develop, and optimize radio frequency hardware circuits and systems for wireless communications devices operating at mmW frequencies.
Description
The engineer will be responsible for design and integration of cellular radio platforms, and will be involved from initial concept study to the mass production. This engineer will implement creative RF designs to realize our wireless product requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
BSEE and 10+ years of relevant industry experience
Strong knowledge of RF systems principles, RF/mmW hardware design, digital communications, and phased array antenna fundamentals
Experience with schematic, layout, and EM simulation flows with tools such as Capture, Allegro, HFSS, ADS
Experience in defining RF/mmW conducted and radiated characterization and production test plans
Scripting experience in Python for test automation and post-processing
Excellent written and verbal communication
Preferred Qualifications
MSEE or Ph.D preferred
Expertise in Tx/Rx specification flow down related to linearity and noise
Expertise in IC/package co-design and EM/SIPI simulation flows
Expertise in module packaging technologies, qualification, and ATE
Familiarity with embedded systems and peripheral interfaces
Proficiency in wireless communications standards and wireless technology
Hands on experience with 5GNR FR2 product development
Hands on experience with probe stations for conducted characterization and anechoic chambers for OTA characterization, especially at mmW frequencies
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
