Global Merchant Network Services (GMNS) has relationships with millions of merchant businesses, in more than 25 countries, and delivers over $200B in spend. The Global Strategy, Operations, & Performance (GSOP) team’s mission is to deliver a best-in-class premium merchant member experience that will get merchants to not only accept American Express, but openly welcome and recommend us to their customers.
The GMNS Intelligent Automation & Gen AI Incubator team plays a pivotal role in partnering across teams to reimagine end-to-end business solutions using intelligent automation and generative AI. These solutions will optimize business processes, drive performance, and expand revenue generation opportunities.
The Analyst, Portfolio & Intake – GMNS Intelligent Automation & Gen AI will play an essential role in supporting the intake and discovery processes of the GMNS Automation.AI team including enabling key operational processes and strategic projects. This is an exciting opportunity to enable new and emerging technologies!
Key Responsibilities
Support the refinement and development of business use cases through collaboration with technical and business stakeholders to allow for consistent comparisons and prioritizations during the intake process
Drive accountability for tight timelines and consistently follow-up on action items to ensure milestones are met
Draft engaging communications and presentation materials for stakeholder and leadership forums
Collaborate with the program management team to ensure timely updates are made to roadmaps and project status documents
Support product discovery by partnering with the program team to ensure business requirements and associated value are documented
Undertake planning activities to support the annual technology planning process for the automation and AI initiatives including ensuring that the team information is reflected accurately throughout both the annual planning process and quarterly roadmap updates
Assist the team in developing strategic plans and sequencing of initiatives
Contribute to the management and completeness of team documentation and artifacts by ensuring content is added and maintained across the teams' repositories
Stay abreast of the market and the enterprise to identify how best to leverage the value of emerging technologies, such as Generative AI
Demonstrate a willingness to continually learn and continuously implement frameworks and process improvements within a dynamic environment
Assist in documenting team processes and product development lifecycle
Candidates should be comfortable working on a smaller team and flexible/adaptable to take on new challenges in support of evolving priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years of experience in Business Analytics and Project Management
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Highly organized, detail oriented with a proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and solve complex problems
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without authority and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
Experience in project management and process transformation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze data and processes to identify creative solutions and drive incremental improvements
Experience with document repositories such as Confluence, SharePoint
Preferred Qualifications
5 years of experience in Business Analytics and Project Management
Understanding of Intelligent Automation and Generative AI to solve business pain points
Experience working in a regulated environment with an understanding of compliance, control, data governance and integrity processes
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools, working directly with scrum teams to launch products and features
Experience working across time zones and managing variations in conflicting schedules
Experience using Airtable and Mural
Qualifications
Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually bonus benefits
Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position
