The IS&T Enterprise Storage team provides storage that powers many of the critical applications that help assist in the running of Apple (like SAP, b2b, POS, IDMS, BI, etc.). We provide the infrastructure from third party storage providers from Dell, Pure Storage, Hitachi, Netapp and more and integrate them into the Apple workflow. Description
You will be responsible for developing infrastructure automation in a data center environment to provide efficient operations for our storage and systems environment. You will be engaged with multi-functional systems and storage engineers as well as Database and SAP administrators, and application team members to help build and support storage infrastructure. Create services to provision and manage storage systems with less manual intervention. Provide The primary goal for this position is to simplify storage operations by creating tools and applications to make infrastructure as efficient as possible.
Minimum Qualifications
Senior level coding skills with the following languages: Go
Familiar with CI/CD process and proven software development experience
Familiarity with database technologies such as Postgres, MongoDB, Oracle, or time series databases
Basic knowledge of frontend tools such as Tableau or Grafana
BS in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Basic knowledge of frontend tools such as Tableau and Grafana
Follow test driven development procedures
Develop and design applications to collect and process data from various third party APIs and Linux servers
Storage Vendor Knowledge:
Experience working with Enterprise storage vendors and their specific REST API’s
Working knowledge with Netapp, Dell Isilon, Hitachi Data Systems, Pure Storage and Storage
Area Networks(Brocade and Cisco)
Cloud Technologies: Experience with using and building cloud technologies on AWS and other 3PC
Experience working in a virtualized environment such as KVM, Open-stack, and Cinder
Design and develop API / CLI based application related to third party Storage appliances
