The News Subscription Analyst will play a critical role in shaping the insights, financial understanding, and business analysis that fuel our subscription strategy and feature development. This role will partner closely with Business leadership and cross-functional teams to assess opportunities, guide planning, and help translate data into clear business decisions. If you’re analytical, curious, and excited to support the evolution of a global subscription product, this role offers the chance to contribute at the ground level of impactful, forward-looking work.

Description

Your day-to-day will combine analytical rigor, cross-functional collaboration, and thoughtful storytelling. You’ll help evaluate the financial and subscriber impact of new ideas, track business performance, and support planning across the product and partnerships landscape.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Statistics, or related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, business analytics, or strategy roles.

  • Strong analytical and modeling skills with proficiency in Excel.

  • Ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and recommendations.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with comfort presenting to internal stakeholders.

  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in subscription-based, content-driven, or media businesses.

  • Familiarity with digital content performance or subscription funnels.

  • Comfort working with cross-functional partners, particularly Finance, Analytics and Engineering.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate with curiosity, attention to detail, and a drive to improve processes.

  • Passion for journalism, product development, and understanding how content and product work together to drive subscriber value.
