The Graphics, Gaming & Machine Learning (GGML) team is seeking a Technical Program Manager to help shape the future of scalable machine learning infrastructure. In this role, you’ll lead planning, execution, and cross-functional coordination across engineering teams to deliver robust, high-performance ML systems that operate across Apple’s cloud and distributed environments. You’ll help define and run processes that ensure the timely delivery of GPU, compute, and data infrastructure components that support large-scale ML workloads.

Description
We’re looking for a strong Engineering Program Manager with a proven record of building and maintaining complex software platforms, tools, and processes that deliver new end-to-end experiences on-device. You will partner with teams across Apple and deliver some of the most ambitious capabilities for executing AI/ML features on scalable distributed systems, and ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency of ML pipelines and services.

Minimum Qualifications
5+ years in a role leading cross-functional teams in product/project/program development
Proven track record of delivering large-scale engineering products or platforms involving machine learning, including experience with model training and optimization, distributed server side inference, and/or user-facing applications that use those services and deliver measurable business or product value.
Experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and ML frameworks
Lead multi-functional teams to develop and deploy GPU-accelerated AI/ML solutions across Apple’s product ecosystem.
Drive graphics/compute API and software/hardware feature development lifecycles from concept through launch, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
Familiarity with ML lifecycle from experimentation to production.
Drive resolution of technical risks and challenges, working in close partnership with engineering leads.
Champion innovation and execution excellence, setting strategic direction for GPU-accelerated AI/ML initiatives at Apple.
Effective and clear communication and presentation skills, written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications
BS/MS (EE/CS/CE), or a related technical field.
Prior PM or engineering experience in AI/ML model training, high-performance distributed computing, or inference optimization technologies
Experience with silicon acceleration and compute frameworks
Self-motivated, independent, and proactive; demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities; can quickly (real-time) triage, prioritize, and lead cross-functional teams under pressure
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
