Apple’s Global Business Solutions (GBS) organization supports Apple employees, customers, and vendors.

We are seeking a finance payments analyst to support the Global Trade Disbursements processes for the indirect payments while identifying areas for continuous improvement.

Description

Join the Global Trade Disbursements team and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of payments across Apple’s global operations. You’ll be joining a team that values autonomy, precision, and continuous improvement, contributing to the critical payment processes, while driving impactful initiatives and gaining valuable exposure across the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) landscape and the broader Apple organization

We're seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, data-savvy professional to join our Disbursements Team—someone with a solid foundation in finance or operations, who is also excited about leveraging data tools to drive process improvement, automation, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Payment operations: Prepare and execute daily payment processes, payment runs and related daily operations

  • Subject matter expertise: Develop deep expertise in our complex payment processes, establish effective relationships with key business partners and support internal and external stakeholders

  • Process improvement and innovation: Identify inefficiencies, drive key initiatives and work closely with global and internal teams to influence change and drive solutions

  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure all activities adhere to internal controls and SOX compliance requirements

  • Data Analysis & Automation: Leverage data analysis and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for automation, risk mitigation, and process enhancement, ultimately streamlining payment workflows

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with global finance, treasury, and technical teams to drive automation, implement process improvements and optimization efforts that minimize payment compliance risk and improve quality and efficiency standards

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a finance operations, disbursements, data analytics or a related field

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Business, or a related field

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to transform data into actionable insights and drive process improvements, automation, or system enhancements

  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with disbursements processes, treasury operations, or global banking processes

  • Hands-on experience with data analysis and reporting tools, financial systems (Excel, Tableau, Dataiku, SAP, etc.)

  • Demonstrated passion for automating and improving processes and systems, with a track record of ownership and accountability

  • General understanding of GAAP, SOX, general ledger, finance, payment, and accounting processes

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of ambiguity and complexity

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to prioritize and execute tasks effectively.
