Looking for a System EPM to own and drive new product development in the iPad System team! Be responsible for managing product development from initial product definition through product launch. This is a great opportunity for cross functional leadership and visibility.
Description
This iPad System EPM will work closely with cross functional Engineering teams who are focused on the development of the key technologies that enable next generation iPad. This means you are someone capable of quickly gaining understanding of program and cross functional needs and keeping up with their dynamic nature. You will partner with a team of cross functional partners to set strategy for technology development and lead its implementation in support of new and exciting products: you can’t tell anyone, but they’re so cool! Major responsibilities: Drive product convergence and overall program schedules. Guide failure analysis and resolution of technical issues. Ensure tight inter-team coordination and communication. Prepare and deliver concise and succinct technical updates. Understand and communicate complex, technical/engineering issues. Identify and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies and program issues quickly and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
Support system definition and drive closure to architecture and technical opens in the early stages of a project.
Identify and highlight technical risk areas and mitigation strategies in partnership with Apple technologists.
Cross-functionally communicate key developments and updates on new projects/products at executive level.
Grasp complex technical topics and abstract key issues and risks in a actionable form to upper management.
Establish and manage program feature baseline, scheduling, critical path, and technology risks areas for execution.
Lead cross-functional teams, including EE, PD, Software, Operations, cross functional module engineering and validation activities
Planning and execution of product prototype builds.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years experience HW Program Management or Engineering Management work - managing cross-functional teams on HW/SW integration in development phase
Leadership skills and ability to inspire team members
Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
Self motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty
BS degree in Engineering required
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years experience HW Program Management or Engineering Management work - managing cross-functional teams on HW/SW integration in development phase
Directly managed 2+ product development cycles for a System with HW and SW integration involved.
BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
