Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Austin, Texas. Participate in the performance modeling and performance analysis of an advanced microprocessor targeted towards low power computing platforms. Maintain and verify the architectural performance model of a CPU. Isolate performance issues through correlation of register transfer language to the performance model on various benchmarks and other performance tests. Perform architectural studies, analyze performance results, and work with the register-transfer level (RTL) design team to find performance bottlenecks and trade off performance and implementation costs. Work with performance characteristics associated with various CPU workloads and also with methods of producing CPU workloads that can run in a simulation environment. 40 hours/week.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Experience and/or education must include:
C and C++ programming
Simulator development
Script-language programming such as python
CPU micro-architecture
CPU performance analysis
