Growing consumer lending is a priority for American Express, especially as the company mobilizes to capitalize on key growth opportunities. As a result, Product Management and Lending organization has been created to evolve our portfolio and transform the way we meet customer’s borrowing needs in an evolving landscape. The US Plan It team sits within Product Management and Lending and plays a critical role in enabling the innovation and delivery of this vision. As a member of the US Plan It team, this role will be responsible for strategic analytics, identifying growth opportunities, and tracking product performance. This position will work closely with key partners across different functions and levels of seniority.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leverage customer data, portfolio trends and industry dynamics to develop strategic recommendations that enhances Plan It strategy.
Design and deliver data-driven insights to uncover new growth opportunities.
Support development and testing of pricing strategies for US Plan It that aim to grow the business while maintaining high credit profile.
Track product performance and generate monthly reports in collaboration with key stakeholders to provide visibility of senior leadership.
Present insights and recommendations to secure senior leadership buy in and alignment.
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders across different functional areas including Pricing, Lending Economics, Risk, Finance, Legal / Compliance, and Global Servicing.
Lead strategic business initiatives, compliance and regulatory processes as required.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage large data sets to inform business decisions
SQL experience required. Python, and/or SAS experience is a plus.
Committed to maintain strong work ethic with an intense will-to-win and demonstrated personal excellence.
Ability to handle high pressure environment with multiple requests and aggressive deadlines.
Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across different functional teams across different levels of seniority.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Credit card or lending experience preferred.
Minimum of 2 years analytics experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Qualifications
Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually bonus benefits
